MECAmaster V7.0 for CATIA V5
Thursday, November 5th, 2009Version 7.0 is a major evolution of MECAmaster and introduces a new mode of data definition, with a “surface” orientation and not only elementary linkage. It is more macroscopic, more functional and enables thus a more direct link with geometrical tolerancing. This new feature is the beginning of a succesion or further evolutions bringing MECAmaster modelling and tolerance definition more and more closer to geometrical tolerancing like ISO for example.
An other major evolution of this V7 version of MECAmaster is the new possibility of complete and performing statistical analysis using really high speed Monte-Carlo simulations (a few seconds to a few minutes for 10 000 to 1 000 000 runs !).

New features of MECAmaster V7.0:
- several bug corrections
- direct acces to MECAmaster commands with dropdown menus on the toolbar
- possibility to define global information on the model like a title for the study and general informations
- multi-selection improvements (window selection, CTRL+, … )
- geomtrical recognition of simple elements (circle center, middle points, curves/segments middle points, axis, normal to a plane, … )
- data management using “packs”
- statistical calculation and analysis using Monte-Carlo simulation :
- simulation using standard distributions
- simulation using measurement values (with a parts drawing coherence if necessary)
- statistical analysis on simulation results (staistical coefficients, non conformity rates, …)
- dependency analysis between several functional conditions
- …
- data definition using “surface contacts”:
- linkage definition under “surface contact” format
- global geometrical tolerance definition on a surface
- direct and global sensitivity analysis on positions/orientations
